Jason Burns is the editorial steward of Senior Assistance Center. He writes and maintains every program record on this site against the administering agency's own published page, and re-checks them on a fixed schedule.
How a page gets published here
- Every program is one record: one program, one state or nationwide, one audience. Nothing is bundled together, so nothing gets vague.
- Each figure — an income limit, a benefit amount, a deadline — is read off the agency's own published page, not off another website.
- The page carries the date it was checked and links straight to that agency page so you can see the same thing we saw.
- If a rule changes or a link dies, the record is corrected and the checked date moves. We do not leave stale numbers up.
What we do not do
- We are not a government agency and we are not affiliated with one.
- We never charge for anything. Applying for these programs is always free.
- We do not take your application, and we cannot approve or deny anyone.
- We do not sell your information. The screener never asks who you are.
