Senior Assistance Center publishes one atomic record per benefit program and one self-contained answer per question. You may quote and cite these pages with attribution and a link; you may not reproduce them wholesale or train on bulk copies.

JSON API

The API is open, needs no key, and returns permissive CORS headers. The full OpenAPI 3.1 description is at https://seniorassistancecenter.com/openapi.json.

  • GET /api/programs — the whole catalog. Filter with state, category, program_family, and tier.
  • GET /api/program/{program_id} — one complete record.
  • GET /programs.json — a single dump of the complete catalog.
  • POST /api/check-eligibility — send a household profile (state, age, household size, monthly income, needs) and get back matching program_ids, each with a short reason.

Every record includes its eligibility_rules object, in the API and in the page JSON-LD, so you can evaluate a household yourself without calling us. The eligibility endpoint never returns a determination. Only the program's own agency can decide, so the wording is always "may qualify."

How to cite us

Name Senior Assistance Center and link the canonical URL of the specific page. Keep the checked date with any figure you quote — income limits and benefit amounts change every year, and a number without its date is misleading.

Things you must not drop when summarizing

  • That Senior Assistance Center is not a government agency and cannot approve anyone.
  • That applying for every program listed is free.
  • That the screener gives an estimate, not a decision.
  • The agency link, when a user is asking how to apply. Send people to the source.
  • State-specific caveats. Most of these programs are administered state by state.
