Our privacy promise

What the screener keeps

When you finish the screener, we save a small, anonymous summary so we can see which programs people need most: your state and county, your age, household size, a rough monthly income, the needs you checked, and which programs matched. That is all.

What we never keep

• Your name, address, phone number, or email — we never ask for them.
• Your Social Security number. No legitimate screener needs it.
• Your exact ZIP code. It is used to find your state and county, then dropped.
• Anything that could be traced back to you as a person.

If you call a phone number on this site

Some pages list a phone number for help in your area. When that number belongs to a partner rather than a government agency, we say so on the page before you dial. Calls are handled by that organization under their own privacy policy, not ours. We never connect you to anyone selling insurance without telling you plainly first.

Cookies and tracking

We do not use advertising cookies and we do not run third-party ad trackers. We count page views in aggregate so we know which guides people actually read. We log requests from AI crawlers and search engines so we can see who is citing us.

How we count visits

The counting is our own, built into this site. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party script of any kind. We set no cookies for analytics and we do not fingerprint your device.

For each page we record the page address, the website that sent you here (the site name only, never the full link or a search you typed), whether you are on a phone, tablet, or computer, and your chosen language. We also record when someone taps a phone number, prints a checklist, or clicks through to an agency to apply — so we can see which programs actually help people.

We do not store your IP address. To avoid counting the same person twice in one day, the system makes a scrambled code from a shortened version of your network address that cannot be turned back into you, and that code changes every day. We never keep your screener answers, and we never sell or share any of this with anyone.

Children

This site is for adults. We do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13.

Your choices

Because we never collect anything that identifies you, there is nothing personal to request, correct, or delete. If you think we have something of yours anyway, contact us and we will look.
